To break that belief one must visit Panchavati waterfall in Rangat in Andaman. Almost 200 km from Port Blair, In the middle of Andaman, Rangat is a place where the majority of tourist attractions you will get to see. Panchvati Hills waterfalls are one of them.

 

Just like the beaches at Andaman Panchavati waterfalls are also spectacular. Panchavati Hills has many waterfalls and Springs, which serve as a source of water supply for most of the Middle Andaman. The way to reach Panchavati Waterfalls passes through equally amazing farms and hill areas, which makes the experience much more interesting. Once you reach here, the voice and view of sparkly white water falling from a certain height makes you forget all the tensions and let you succumb to hypnotizing surroundings.

Just like any other tourist places on the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, the best time to visit Panchavati waterfalls is throughout the year. Even in Monsoons rainfall can get heavy one can enjoy the stunning view of waterfalls. Although it is advised not to get into waters in monsoons.

How to reach Panchavati Waterfalls

To reach Panchavati waterfalls one must reach Rangat first from Port Blair. You can either take a bus or cab and travel by road for almost 200 km or you can take a ferry boat from Port Blair to reach Rangat for 90 km and from there take a bus or cab ride to reach Panchavati Hills. 

Hotels and restaurants at Panchavati Hills

Although there are not many hotels and restaurants near the Panchavati waterfalls one can stay in hotels at Rangat or Mayabunder. The main, Hotel TSG Grand are few hotels where you can stay.  For food, there are few restaurants on the way to Panchavati hills. But if you are lucky and nice towards the farmers and villagers at Panchavati Hills you may get local mouthwatering food to enhance your taste buds.

Panchavati Hills Waterfalls is itself a great attraction for tourists. Although there are many other attractions you can see while at Panchavati Hills Waterfall. Aamkunj beach, Dhani Nallah Mangrove creek, Morrica Dera beach, Yeratta creek, Cuthbert bay beach are few famous attractions near Panchavati waterfall.
