Aguada Fort in Goa:

Aguada fort is situated on the Siolim-Aguada Road in Sinquerim (Candolim, Goa). The hilltop fort has two ways to reach it. The 4km long road from Sinquerim beach or the shorter 2 km steep climb.

It is known for its Portuguese construction and engineering. A fresh water spring used to supply the fort with drinkable water, hence the name ‘Aguada’ which is Portuguese word for water. If you are interested in historical places, this is one place you should definitely visit. It is the best example of the Portuguese military architecture build so strong that the fort was invincible.

Aguada Light House:

Aguada lighthouse is a part of the Aguada Fort. This lighthouse was constructed in 1864 and is one of the unique and oldest of its type in Asia.

The speciality of this lighthouse is that in olden days it used oil lamps to transmit the beacon of light every seven minutes and then improved to transmit light every 30 seconds.

For a nominal fee, you can go to the top of the light house using stairs. The breath taking sight from the top is a relief for the sore eyes.

Candolim Beach:

Candolim beach in goa is one of the preferred destinations for the beach lovers. It is located in North Goa close to the Aguada beach. It is approximately 14 kms from Panjim.

Candolim is famous for the delicious seafood. There are number of shacks and beach restaurants here which provides one of the best seafood in Goa. The beach provides many adventure water sports like water skiing and parasailing. The evenings present lovely sunset to just chill.

If you are looking for the Goan delicacies or you are a water sports lover, this beach is the place to be.

Baga Beach at Goa:

Baga is situated at the north end of the parallel shoreline range that begins from Sinquerim, Candolim, going to Calangute and after that to Baga. It is surrounded by hill and a fresh water stream on one side and the beaches Calangute-Candolim is on the other side.

It is famous across the globe as the nightlife capital of India. Nightclubs like Tito’s, Mambo’s, Café La Musica, Ivy, Cocktails and Dreams are few of the famous hotspots.

Calangute Beach:

It is nine miles from Panjim and is surrounded by coconut palms. Candolim village is to its south and Baga to the north. Hailed as the Queen of Goa Beaches, Calangute Beach, famous for its brilliant shining sand, is fixed with astounding shacks which offer genuine Goan food and beverages.

It is additionally the ideal traveller place, with shacks and small shops under the shade of palm trees offering everything from prawns and brew, to knickknacks made of seashells. The shoreline additionally offers water sport exercises like parasailing adventure and water skiing, among others.

Chapora Fort:

Chapora fort was made famous by the movie DIL CHAHTA HAI, which brought the fort back to life. It became one of the most visited spot now. The trek to the fort is very tedious and tiring but it will make your day once you reach the fort. The sunsets are very pleasant there.


The shoreline is well known for its dazzling scenic beauty with swinging palms trees and delicate powdered white sands. The shoreline is famous for an uncommon rock creation overlying a bay of white sand and black rock that extends out into the Sea.


Vagator shoreline is the most picturesque beach amongst the beautiful beaches in Goa. It is located to north of the Anjuna beach. The sickle shaped shoreline has turned into a most loved spot among sightseers for late night parties. The shoreline is also famous as the 500 Old Portuguese stronghold of Chapora is located nearby.
