Kalyaneshwari Temple
Kalyaneshwari temple is located in Paschim Medinipur, West Bengal, India. The temple is dedicated to the Goddess Kalyaneshwari and is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas in India. It is believed that the left arm of Goddess Sati fell here when Lord Shiva was carrying her corpse in grief.
The temple is said to have been built in the 12th century by King Chandraketu. It is an important pilgrimage site for Hindus. The temple has a main sanctum, a temple tank and a hall. The main shrine is built in the Bengal style of architecture, with intricate carvings on the walls and ceilings.
