Rajmachi is a small village situated inside the Sahyadri mountain variety of the Konkan location of Maharashtra. Rajmachi has two fortified peaks - Shrivardhan and Manaranjan forts, placed close to two well-known hills of Lonavala and Khandala.
At the bottom of the fortress is the village Udhewadi that's another call for Rajmachi. Rajmachi has seen many switches from Shivaji Maharaj, Shahu Maharaj, Emperor Aurangzeb, and also the British reign. The castle of Rajmachi is well-known among trekkers and adventure enthusiasts. If you need to experience a full-fledged trek, you may start from the Kondane caves side in an effort to take 3-4 hours of climbing, but otherwise you may drive right up to Udhewadi village (from the Lonavala side) and then trek for infrequently 20-half-hour to the top. The simple and virtually marked trail on both the trails make Rajmachi a very famous beginner's trek.
