Harihareshwar Beach
Harihareshwar Beach, one of Maharashtra's less crowded beaches, is located in the Raigad district, about 200 kilometres from Mumbai. Harihareshwar is often called Dev-Ghar or "house of God" because it is surrounded by four hills: Harihareshwar, Harshinachal, Bramhadri, and Pushpadri. Because of its temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, it is commonly referred to as 'Dakshin Kashi.' There are numerous lodging options available to suit every budget and preference.
Harihareshwar has two beaches on either side of the main attraction, the Harihareshwar temple. The Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation has also built a beach resort on the southernmost of the two beaches. One of these beaches is a 2.4-kilometre-long straight stretch in front of the temple, while the other is a 2-kilometre-long L-shaped stretch in front of the MTDC Resort. Harihareshwar, along with the two beaches known as Shrivardhan and Diveagar Beach, is a popular weekend getaway for residents of Pune and Mumbai. Harihareshwar is a popular tourist destination in Konkan, known primarily for its temple and beaches. It is an evergreen location, meaning it can be visited anytime of year due to favourable weather conditions. It is nestled in the beautiful hills of the Sahyadri range.
Apart from the well-kept beach, temple, and MTDC Resort, various accommodation options are available here. Harihareshwar hosts an annual celebration of the Kal Bhairav Jayanti Utsav, a well-known festival commemorating the birth of the deity Kal Bhairav. Mr Yashawant Balawant Nagle, the Sardar of Queen of Janjira in charge of Harihareshwar Village, started this tradition. He also contributed to Temple Management by donating a significant portion of his property.

When Is the Best Time to Visit Harihareshwar Beach?
Although the tourist season in Harihareshwar runs from October to May, the best time to visit is during the winter months, from November to February. The Kaal Bhairav Jayanti Utsav is also a great time to visit the temple because visitors can have fun while also soaking in the spiritual vibes of the temple. This festival is also held in October or November.
Harihareshwar Temple
The famous Harihareshwar Temple complex is made up of two adjacent compounds. The main Harihareshwar Temple, which houses an ancient Shiva Linga, is expected to be visited first, followed by the smaller Kaal Bhairav Temple. Devotees can also take the Pradakshina route, which circles the temple and follows the seashore. It is also not recommended to take this route during high tides for safety reasons.
The Best Way to Get to Harihareshwar Beach
Harihareshwar is about 40 kilometres from Mangaon, which also serves as the nearest railway station. Only if you are travelling from Mumbai can you use the train as your mode of transportation. On the other hand, travelling by road to Harihareshwar would be more convenient.
