Kadmat Island in Lakshadweep is a long and narrow island. Its width is only 0.57 kilometers and its breadth maximum length is 11 km. Kadmat island Lakshadweep has a lagoon on the western side, it is about 2 kilometers broad with a total area of 37square kilometers. The Kadmat beach is flat and it rises 2 to 3 meters in the eastward zone and 2 to 4 meters in the westward zone above the sea level. The northern side is flat.

 

Kadmat Lakshadweep is 8 kilometers long and 550 meters wide in breadth. The island is beautiful with a shallow lagoon on the west that forms an ideal spot for water sport activity for the tourists, there is a narrow lagoon on the east of the island. The best attractions are the long sandy beaches and small sandbanks for tourists to sunbathe. Kadmat beach in lakshadweep is known for staying visitors with their huts situated in the coconut palm groves in the other different beaches facing the lagoon side.

The incredible size of the lagoon is unmeasurable, it is one of the largest on Lakshadweep island, coconut trees, and tropical forest covers its one side. Minicoy island in Lakshadweep has a cluster of 10 villages commonly known as Athiris. This island is popularly known for its dance tradition that is lava dance. This dance is performed on any occasion on this island.
