Panchet Dam

Panchet Dam is a gravity masonry dam located near the town of Panchet in the district of Dhanbad in the Indian state of Jharkhand. It was built in 1959 to provide irrigation to the surrounding areas. The dam is located on the Damodar River, a major tributary of the Ganges River. Green forests surround the dam, and it is an important tourist destination in Jharkhand.

The dam has a height of 33.3 meters and a length of 547.9 meters. It has a storage capacity of 0.02 cubic kilometres and is also used to generate electricity, with a power plant totalling 50 MW. The dam also serves as a water source for the nearby towns and villages.
