Azad Maidan
Azad Maidan is the tiny plot in the town of Panjim, a structure in the centre immediately constructed and under the roof in the middle is the Dr Tristão de Braganza Cunha' statue, the earlier Goan Freedom Fighter who was also the 'Courageous Hero of Goan Fight for Freedom'.
Previously in the course of Portuguese in 1847, the State of Afonso Albuquerque product of bronze and meters tall, was built after conquering numerous websites in Goa that is now the vicinity of the Museum at Old Goa. Near this is one marker dedicated to the crowd who battled to detach the Goa from the rule of the Portuguese.
On the west side of the rectangular is a long broad building; behind that is a Police Headquarters, formerly turned into the former Portuguese military barracks and Military Headquarters, built in 1832. The opposite of this square, closer to the finishing part of it, is the Government Printing Press. Behind this full construction in a big quadrangle, the alternative State Government Offices conquer the view. You are moving from right here and taking the direction on the alternative facet of the square from Police Headquarters, on foot a little distance you attain to Municipal Garden.
