Alchi Monastery is a Buddhist monastery in the Alchi village in Ladakh, India. It is one of Ladakh's oldest and most well-preserved monasteries and is considered a masterpiece of Buddhist art and architecture. The complex includes four main temples, each with intricate carvings and paintings depicting scenes from the Buddhist pantheon. The Sumtsek temple, in particular, is famous for its large central statue of the Buddha and its intricate wall paintings.
