The most common birds amongst these include Ruby throated yellow bulbul, the common grey hornbill, golden backed woodpecker and much more. This sanctuary is located in the Ponda Taluka of North Goa which is easily available from both the popular places, Panaji as well as Margao. Being located 50 kilometers from the Panjim city and 38km from Margao city. There are also tourist buses available to arrive at the sanctuary from both these cities.
